Emerie Fox’s heart burns with a searing fire of vengeance, totaling about 463 dead shapeshifters in the past 6 years. Her pursuit to find her sister’s murderer has become an all-consuming crusade, the line between justice and revenge becoming blurred. She has become the living embodiment of vengeance. So when the one time she decides to help somebody, she gets captured, — by a shapeshifter, nonetheless — she isn’t exactly elated.
